If you are a nurse, medical practitioner, heath practitioner or other AHPRA registered practitioner, we usually collect both personal and sensitive information from you. This information includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • information and details provided by you when you register on our Website;
  • information provided by you when you upload your Curriculum Vitae (CV) via our Website;
  • your name, date of birth, gender, nationality and visa details;
  • your contact details such as your email address, phone number, residential address; 
  • details about your employment status, employment history, qualifications, education history, training, work experience and references;
  • your AHPRA practitioner number or other relevant registration number, prescriber number and provider number;
  • police check, working with children check and vulnerable people check status;
  • your driver’s licence and passport;
  • work performance information;
  • information about incidents in the workplace;
  • information about your personality and character;
  • health information about you including, without limitation, any health or medical conditions you have and your vaccination/immunisation history.
  • your bank details;
  • your Tax File Number, ABN and any other requisite payroll details;
  • other information about the business which may include personal and sensitive information;
  • information about third parties;
  • your device identity and type, I.P. address, geo-location information, page view statistics, advertising data and standard web log information; and
  • any other information provided by you to us via our Website or our online presence, or otherwise required by us or provided by you.

If you are a medical practice, health clinic or other organisation that is looking to source staff from Unity Recruitment (or a representative of that organisation), the information that we normally collect from you includes, without limitation, the following:

  • business details including individual/entity name, address, ACN and/or ABN;
  • information about positions, roles, team structures and systems;
  • information about incidents in the workplace;
  • credit history;
  • business references;
  • your device identity and type, I.P. address, geo-location information, page view statistics, advertising data and standard web log information;
  • other information about the business which may include personal and sensitive information;
  • information about third parties; 
  • contact details of certain employees of the organisation including, without limitation, the HR manager, CEO and/or the finance staff; and
  • any other information provided by you to us via our Website or our online presence, or otherwise required by us or provided by you.

If you are visitor to our website who is not a nurse or health practitioner nor one of our clients, we may collect from you:

  • your contact details such as name, address, phone name and email address;
  • any other information provided by you to us via our Website or our online presence, or otherwise required by us or provided by you; and
  • your device identity and type, I.P. address, geo-location information, page view statistics, advertising data and standard web log information.

Under certain circumstances, Unity Recruitment may need to collect sensitive information about you. This might include any information or opinion about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, sexual preferences, criminal record, or health information.

You do not have to provide us with your personal information. Where possible, we will give you the option to interact with us anonymously or by using a pseudonym. If you are a medical practice or health clinic (or a representative), we may use your personal information to:

  • provide our services to you including sourcing and providing suitable staff for your needs;
  • process any requisite payments; and
  • attend to any other necessary matters in connection with us providing our services to you.

If you are visitor to our website who is not a nurse or health practitioner nor one of our clients, we may use your personal information to:

  • assess your needs when if you contact us;
  • assess our Website traffic;
  • respond to any queries you may have; and
  • send you are marketing material or carry out any surveys.

Disclosure of personal information to third parties

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in accordance with this Policy in circumstances where you would reasonably expect us to disclose your information.

Once you register and set up a user account with us, we will send you a welcome email to verify your username and password. We will also respond to your inquiries, provide services you request and manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone and will make every effort to honour your preference.

Subject to the marketing preferences which you give us, we will also send you information on new products, services, special savings, promotions and general information. If you do not want to receive this information, you can opt-out of receiving future mailings.

If you ask to subscribe to our newsletters, we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. You can sign up for these newsletters from us on our registration page. You may unsubscribe at any time. When necessary, we will send you service-related announcements, which are not promotional in nature. For complaints about how Unity Recruitment handles, processes or manages your personal information, please email hello@unityrecruitment.com.au with “COMPLAINT” recorded in the subject line. Note we may require proof of your identity and full details of your request before we can process your complaint.

Please allow up to seven (7) days for Unity Recruitment to respond to your complaint. It will not always be possible to resolve a complaint to everyone’s satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with Unity Recruitment’ response to a complaint, you have the right to contact the Office of Australian Information Commissioner (at www.oaic.gov.au) to lodge a complaint.
